DUTCH 911

On 4 October 1992 an Israeli airplane El Al Flight 1862 crashed into a residential building in Bijlmermeer near Amsterdam.

Despite years of investigations, the full account of the cargo was not made known by Israeli side.

I remember how shocked I was when reading a headline of a Dutch paper, handed out on a flight from Germany: 500 kg uranium ballast (!).

Another thing which I found extraordinary, was the evidence from the then PM Ruud Lubbers, who, when asked if he called the Israeli Ambassador 'on the carpet', that day (evening), answered that that he was/went to the Israeli Embassy himself.

Who was the Israeli Ambassador to the Netherlands at the time?
